Wesley Sandall

Wesley Sandall was born on August 28, 1926 at home near Bassett, Nebraska. He was born to Archie & Ruth (Barker) Sandall. He was oldest with three siblings; Jerry, Edward and Lillian. He lived on the Red Cedar Ranch his whole ranching life. Wes died Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett. Wes graduated from the Rock County High School. On February 23, 1945, he joined the Army and was stationed in Guam and the Philippines during his service. He was honorably discharged on December 10, 1946. Wes attended the University of Nebraska for two years before returning to the ranch to help his ailing father. Wes married Gettie G. Boyer on June 18, 1949 in Mullen, Nebraska. To this union, they had three children; Rita, Gay and Dan. Wes was a faithful, lifetime member of the Bassett United Methodist Church; being both baptized & confirmed there.
