Theodore Roosevelt Kasparie Jr., born September 13, 1948, in Boulder, Colorado to Theodore Roosevelt Kaspari Sr. and Lizzie Fern (Hawkins) Kaspari. He attended school at Linclon Grade School at Erie, Co., 7th and 8th grade at Erie High School, and 9th through 11th grade at Humansville, Missouri.
He enlisted in the Army at the age of 20. Served in Korea, he worked as a mechanic on tanks, and as a gunner, and he was a marksman. Coming to Long Pine, Nebraska, he married Christy Clark and to this union 3 daughters were born, Penny Sue, Heather Marie, and Jessica Ann. His life revolved around trucking. USA and Canada 24/7. Those who knew him knew he was born to truck. He worked for Waggoners several years and then Sammons for 20 plus years. (At one point he received honors for trucking 2 million miles.)
Theodore was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Roosevelt Kaspari Sr. in 1989, his mother, Lizzie Fern (Hawkins) Kaspari in 1998, and in 1949, his brother, Paul Revere. He is survived by his daughters, Penny (Bart) Waits, Ainsworth. Nebraska, Heather (Vince) Ruhe, of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Jessica Kasparie of Bassett Nebraska; sister, Betty Jo (Gene) Calif of Long Pine; brothers, John Kaspari of McPherson, Kansas, George "Andy" Kaspari-Hofferber of Fort Collins, Colorado, William "Bill" Kaspari-Hofferber of Grand Junction, Colorado; 5 Grandchildren, Gloria, Sarah, and Spencer Turpin, Skyler Ruhe, and Amber Waits.
Graveside Memorial Services with Military Honors by the Long Pine American Legion #260 were held on Friday, July 5th, 2013 at the Grandview Cemetery in Long Pine, Nebraska. Pastor Gary Graesser officiated over the service. Special remarks as well as a guitar selection was provided by John Kaspari. Hoch Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
