Mr. George Miles "Bee" Graff

George Miles "Bee" Graff, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on January 10, 1925 to Arthur "Chuck" and Velma (Casselman) Graff at the family ranch north of Johnstown, Nebraska.
Miles graduated from Johnstown High School in 1943. On April 5, 1951 he was married to Mardel Williams and together they had three children, Kenneth Graff, (deceased) Cynthia Melton of Ainsworth, Nebraska and Richard Graff of Johnstown, Nebraska. The family resided on the ranch north of Johnstown until 1968, when they moved to Ainsworth. Miles worked for the Farmers-Ranchers Coop until he retired. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, working on small engines and working part time helping friends with planting and harvest.
Miles was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Kenneth, wife Mardel, and brother, Arthur "Red". Survivors include daughter, Cynthia; son, Richard; three grandchildren, Cameron Graff of Redding, California, Nikki Dugas of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Ian Melton of Dallas, Texas; four great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Graff and wife Jackie of Ainsworth, Nebraska; sister, Glee Swanson of Valentine, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Dean Williams of Ainsworth; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Graff of Coulee Dam, Washington, Doris Wetzel of Grand Island, Nebraska, Dorothy Kinker of Central City, Nebraska, Helen Eggert of Camarillo, California, Wilma Williams of Buena Vista, Colorado, Louise Ann Williams of Ainsworth, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on September 24, 2014 at the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Pastor Eldon Davis officiated the service. Special CD selections of "Amazing Grace" by The Statler Brothers and "Just A Closer Walk with Thee" by Randy Travis were provided. Pallbearers were, Marty Graff, Gary Swanson, Dan Eggert, Bill Burchell, Brad Dillon, Matt Miles, Wes Luther, Larry Zeigler. Burial was held at the Ainsworth Cemetery. Memorials were directed to the family for a future designation.
