Friday July 13, 1973, marked the arrival of a very important person. Christina Michelle Wolfe arrived on the scene at the Ainsworth Hospital "smiling from day one." She attended Ainsworth schools from Kindergarten though Senior in High School and was selected as a member of "Who's Who in American High Schools". She went on to get her AAS from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE and then proceeded on to Chadron where she earned her BA in agriculture. Chris was awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" award from the NRCS in Chadron.
Over the course of her life she worked in grocery stores, a feed store, a livestock market, plus various other jobs; but the love of her career was working at the Cherry County Justice Center where she was a correctional officer and being trained as a dispatcher. She had a great love of animals and plants and saved everyone of them she could.
Christina passed away in her home in Valentine on January 20, 2014. Leaving her to remember her life are her parents Gary and Bonnie (Moos) Wolfe of Ainsworth, brother Garrett of Ainsworth, very special friend Pat Greenough of Valentine, 2 uncles Larry (Loni) Wolfe of Loma, CO and Walter (Sandy) Wolfe of Ainsworth, plus cousins and friends.
Memorial services were held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Neva Murphy officiating.
