Carol L. (Kackmeister) Christensen

July 7, 1946 — November 9, 2020

Carol Lynn (Kackmeister) Christensen age 74 of Long Pine passed away on November 9, 2020 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth. She was born on July 7, 1946 in Ainsworth to Robert S. and Larena M. (Alberts) Kackmeister. Carol graduated from Ainsworth High School and went on to have a successful career as a cosmetologist. She was no stranger to hard work and would never shy away from getting her hands dirty, preferring to do things herself. She loved warm weather and pretty flowers, and always had a love for animals. To quote the late Mr. Tom Petty, “she was crazy ‘bout Elvis…and loved America too.” Carol enjoyed listening to Ozzy Osbourne and loved a good guitar solo. In her later years, she could often be found admiring the flutter of hummingbirds at her feeder or taking care of her beloved cats. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Raleigh. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Tina Moylan; son-in-law, Tom Moylan; grandsons, Mitchell and wife, Jade and Andrew Moylan all of Waverly, Nebraska; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.

Graveside Services were held on Friday, November 13, 2020 in the Ainsworth Cemetery with Pastor David Randall officiating at the service. The songs, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill and “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Elvis Presley were played. Casketbearers were: Andrew, Mitchell and Tom Moylan and Linda, Bill and Darrel Kackmeister. Honorary Casketbearers were: Alan and Dale Kackmeister. Memorials were suggested to the family in Carols’s name for future designation. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth.
