Beverly J. (Burt) Dilsaver was born October 4, 1941 to Clifford and Mildred (Cook) Burt in Newport, Nebraska. Beverly passed away February 21, 2023 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida at the age of 81 years, four months and 17 days. Beverly loved having her family and friends around her. Beverly was united in marriage to Donald Dilsaver on September 18, 1958. They left Nebraska in 1986 and headed to California to begin a new adventure. There they went from having no traffic to 500,000 cars driving by daily at the hotel they owned. She loved meeting new people and would spoil her regular customers with fresh baked cookies and wine. They were not far from the 49ers training camp and had several players stay with them. She asked one player if he ever thought about playing football, he grinned and he said yes, the next week he brought his Super Bowl ring to show her. She became a die hard fan after that. After retiring from the hotel, she moved to Red Bluff, California. She moved into her first brand new home and was so proud she finally had her dream kitchen and pantry. There she enjoyed her grandchildren and their sports. She kept busy with a tanning salon in her spare time. They made the decision to move back to Nebraska to be closer to family and friends. Here she cherished the dinners and family get-togethers making Christmas candy with family and making memories for us all to treasure. After a few years, they decided they would leave the cold winters and move to Cape Coral. She was so happy to be back to the ocean. She loved going to the beach and picking up sea shells. She especially loved sitting outside and watching the Manatees swim down the canal by her house. Beverly will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beverly was preceded in death by her son Robert Lee Dilsaver; parents Mildred and Clifford Burt; and grandparents Porter and Mabel Burt. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Donald Dilsaver; three children Dennis (Delene) Dilsaver, Rodney (Brenda) Dilsaver, and Melinda (Jim) Davis; four grandchildren, Avery Dilsaver, Christopher Dilsaver, Nicholas Dilsaver, Amber Dilsaver; many great-grandchildren; a brother Ronald Burt; along with nieces nephews and other family members.
